Maori inspired artwork on a great customer’s motorbike.

One day, a customer asked me if my ‘Tiki Head’ hand engraved (H-D Sportster) derby cover was still available. This was one of the two unique pieces that I had left, engraved for myself as display pieces for my portfolio. He instantly bought the ‘Tiki Head’ derby cover, which I made in 2018, to personalize his Sportster 1200 Roadster. Since that moment, Philip was hooked, and ordered several commissioned pieces during the following months…

The second piece I engraved for him was the Sportster 1200 Roadster timing cover with Maori inspired ‘Koru’ design…
The third engraved part I made for him was a Maori inspired ‘Manaia’ in the standard primary inspection cover…
His fourth order: create a custom made (larger) aluminium air cleaner trim to fit on the standard air cleaner cover…
& engrave a Maori inspired ‘Hei-Tiki’ in it…
And finally, his fifth order was a second 'Manaia' (double headed) engraving in his spare standard inspection cover, so he could mount the first (single headed) Manaia cover on his leather saddlebag.
